Denise Choate – Professional Vocal Coach & Performer

Denise Choate is a professional singer and vocal coach based in Northern California, dedicated to helping aspiring vocalists develop their unique sound and reach their full potential. With a lifelong passion for music, Denise began singing in choir at the age of ten and has since built a dynamic career performing in multiple genres, including Rock, Blues, R&B, and Jazz.

Currently studying music at Columbia College in Columbia, California, Denise is an active performer, fronting two working bands specializing in Jazz, R&B, and Blues. She is also a regular vocalist for the Columbia College Jazz Band and frequently collaborates with other local musicians.

As a voice teacher, Denise offers instruction in a wide range of musical styles, with a specialization in Jazz and Blues. She is known for her patient, attentive, and supportive teaching style, creating a comfortable learning environment where students can grow in confidence and skill. Her deep understanding of vocal technique, stage presence, and musical interpretation makes her an excellent mentor for singers at all levels.

Denise is committed to continuous learning and professional development, studying under two highly regarded vocal coaches from Sacramento and San Francisco. Additionally, she expands her expertise through piano and music theory studies at Columbia College, reinforcing her belief that "you never stop learning."
